Spro2 Remote Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

1. Who We Are

Spro2 Remote ("the app") is an Android app that finds a ZTE Spro2 smart projector on your Wi-Fi network, mirrors its screen and lets you control it from your phone. The app is built by oodhwe ("we", "our", "us"). Questions? Contact us at support@oodhwe.in.

2. The Short Version

  • The app talks to projectors on your local network (or the projector's own hotspot), and it loads ads from Google.
  • There are no accounts, sign-ups or logins.
  • We do not use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. The app shows ads through Google AdMob (see section 5).
  • We do not collect or sell your personal information. Google handles advertising data as described in section 5.

3. Data Processed by the App

To work, the app exchanges network messages with your projector: discovery broadcasts, the control session, the projector's screen video stream, and the key and touch input you send. This traffic stays between your phone and the projector on your local network. It is not sent to us or to any third party.

The app does not store your screen content, your IP address, or your projector details after it closes. Nothing is written to a server operated by us.

The app also loads ads from Google AdMob over the internet. That traffic goes to Google, not to us, and is handled as described in section 5. Projector traffic and your screen content are never sent to Google or to advertisers.

4. Permissions

  • Internet and network state — needed to find and connect to the projector on your local network, and to load ads.
  • Wi-Fi state and multicast — needed to send and receive the discovery broadcast.
  • Advertising ID (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID) — lets Google AdMob read your advertising ID to serve and measure ads.

The app does not request your location, contacts, camera, microphone or storage.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app uses Google AdMob to show ads. Google may collect and use your advertising ID, IP address, device and app-usage information, and cookies or similar identifiers, to serve, measure and personalise ads. Personalised ads depend on your choice.

In the European Economic Area and the UK, a consent form is shown when the app starts. You can change your choice at any time under "Privacy options" in the app.

You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings (usually under Settings → Privacy → Ads, or Settings → Google → Ads). To see how Google uses data, read Google's partner-sites policy.

6. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
