Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about using AIO Assistant

General

What is a negal?

A negal is anything in the app that helps you organize, plan and keep track of information: subscriptions, insurance, warranties, bills, appointments, to-dos, notes, expenses and payments, health records and medicines, trips and bookings, important dates, links and more.

Can I use the app offline?

Yes. Your data is stored on your device, so every feature works without an internet connection. Only cloud backup and restore need connectivity.

Is there a limit to how much data I can store?

The app can hold a large amount of data, enough for years of records for most people. Very large attachments or media files may be limited by your device storage.

Reminders & Notifications

How do I set up reminders?

When creating or editing an item (expense, to-do, subscription, medicine, pickup/drop and so on), add a reminder and choose when it should fire, such as the same day, 1 day before or 1 week before. The app notifies you at that time.

How do alarm notifications work for time-bound reminders?

Medicine doses, to-dos and pickup/drop events can ring at an exact time. These alarms are designed to sound even when your phone is on silent or Do Not Disturb, because they are time-critical.

How can I customize my notification ringtone?

Go to Settings > Notification Sound and pick a tone for each reminder type (medicine, to-do, pickup/drop).

My reminders are not ringing. What should I check?

Make sure notifications and exact alarms are allowed for oodhwe in Android settings, battery optimization is not restricting the app, and the reminder is enabled for that item. Reminders are restored automatically after a device restart.

Features

How do I manage my to-do items?

In the To-Do section, create tasks, set due dates and reminders, and tick them off when done. Tasks also appear on your dashboard. You can snooze a task and it comes back on its new date.

How do medicine reminders work?

Go to Health > Medicine, add the medicine and its dose times. The app sends an alarm at each dose time with Taken and Skip actions in the notification.

How do I use the Pickup/Drop feature?

Create an event with a location, date and time. The app reminds you at that time. Recurring pickups and drops are supported, and completed ones are kept in your history. The location is just text; the app does not track your location.

What happens when I mark a recurring item as done?

The current occurrence is marked complete and the next one is created automatically on the correct date, even if you snoozed the earlier one. Cancelling or deleting an item removes its open occurrences but keeps completed history.

How do I search for items?

Use Search from the main navigation. Type a keyword to search across expenses, notes, to-dos, medicines and the rest of your data.

Data & Backup

How is my data stored?

Your data lives in a database on your device. If you turn on cloud backup, an encrypted copy is also uploaded so you can restore it on a new device.

What is the difference between cloud backup and local backup?

Cloud backup uploads an encrypted backup file to secure cloud storage, automatically or on demand. Local backup exports the same encrypted backup as a file that you can save or share and restore later, which also works for moving data between devices without cloud backup.

How do I turn on automatic backups?

Open Settings and enable Auto Backup, then choose daily, weekly or monthly. You can also back up manually from Settings at any time.

What data is backed up?

Everything you add: expenses, notes, to-dos, subscriptions, payments, finance and insurance records, taxes, important dates, warranties, assets, health information, medicine schedules, trips and bookings. Insight alerts are not backed up because the app recalculates them from your data.

How do I restore from a backup?

For cloud backup, sign in on the new device and choose restore in Settings. For a local backup, go to Settings > Restore and select your backup file.

What happens if I disable cloud backup?

No new cloud backups are created. Existing cloud backups stay until you delete them, and local storage and local backups keep working normally.

Security & Privacy

Is my data encrypted?

Backups are encrypted before they leave your device and are sent over secure connections. You can also lock the app with fingerprint or face unlock if your device supports it; biometric data never leaves your device.

Does oodhwe use analytics or ads?

No. The app has no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs and does not access your location, camera or contacts. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Account & Support

How do I change or reset my password?

To change it, open your Profile and choose Change Password. If you forgot it, tap Forgot Password on the login screen and follow the reset link emailed to you; check spam if it does not arrive.

Can I have multiple accounts?

Each installation uses one account at a time. Sign out and sign in with a different email to switch; each account keeps its own separate data.

How do I contact support?

Email support@oodhwe.in, or open Settings > About in the app for support links.
