1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using Naalkaatti ("the app"), built by oodhwe ("we", "our", "us"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. What the App Does

The app shows a Tamil calendar with Tamil dates, tithi, nakshatra, yogam, karanam, Rahu Kalam, Yamagandam, Kuligai, sunrise and sunset, festivals, vratas and muhurtham days, and lets you save dates and set reminders. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.

3. Informational Use Only

• Panchangam values are calculated from astronomical positions using a stated method and place. Different almanacs, methods and places can differ by minutes, and sometimes by a day for a festival or tithi.
• Muhurtham days and times, and Sraddham or thithi dates, are general guidance computed from common rules. They are not a substitute for a priest or astrologer. Please confirm important dates (weddings, ceremonies, rituals) with a qualified person before you act on them.
• Holiday information is provided for convenience and may not list every public holiday. Dates that depend on moon sighting or official announcement may be added or corrected later.

4. Calendar Data Updates

The app may download updated calendar data from our server to correct or extend its tables. You agree that we may change the data shown by the app in this way, and that a correction may change a date you saw earlier.

5. Licence to Use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on your devices for personal, non-commercial purposes.

6. Acceptable Use

Do not copy, reverse engineer, resell or interfere with the app or our servers, and do not try to bypass the checks that verify downloaded data.

7. Ads

The app is supported by ads from Google AdMob. We are not responsible for the content of advertisers. See the Privacy Policy for details and your choices.

8. Reminders and Notifications

Reminders depend on your device allowing notifications and background work. Battery savers or system settings can delay or block them, so please do not rely on the app as your only reminder for critical events.

9. Intellectual Property and Open Source

The app, its design and its name belong to oodhwe. Astronomical positions use the NASA JPL DE440 ephemeris. The app includes open-source components under their own licences, listed in the app's About screen.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, oodhwe is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any decision you make or event you plan based on information shown by the app.

12. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows when they last changed.
