Answers to common questions about the EcoSpark Diwali app.
What is EcoSpark Diwali?
EcoSpark Diwali is a free Android app by Oodhwe that lets you enjoy virtual Diwali crackers, with sound and haptics, without smoke, noise pollution or burns.
Does it need an internet connection or an account?
No. The app works entirely offline and has no sign-up. Your name, sparks, themes and saved shows are stored only on your phone.
What are sparks and how do I earn them?
Sparks are the in-app points used to unlock bigger crackers and themes. You earn them the first time you light each cracker, by recording a mini-show (5 or more crackers over about 15 seconds, one reward per day), by completing the daily eco challenge, and for your first share. Sparks have no cash value and cannot be bought.
How do I share a show?
Open My Shows, tap the share icon on a show, add an optional greeting and tap "Create & share". The app builds one self-contained HTML file with sound that you can send through any app. The recipient opens it in a browser, with no install needed.
Can I use my own photo as the sky?
Yes. In Themes, add a photo from your gallery and it becomes your backdrop. You can keep up to five photos and remove them any time. Photos are copied into the app on your phone and are not uploaded anywhere.
Does the app collect my personal data?
No. We do not collect, sell or share personal data. See the Privacy Policy for details.
The sound or vibration is too much. What can I do?
Open Settings (the gear icon) and switch Sound or Vibration off. "Reduce motion" tones down sparks, flashes and sway for people sensitive to motion.
I lost my sparks or shows after reinstalling.
Progress is saved only on your device, so uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes it. There is no cloud backup.
