Moi Gift Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using Moi Gift ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Description of the App

Moi Gift is an Android app by oodhwe (www.oodhwe.in) for recording moi (gift money), gold, silver and gifts at family functions, in Tamil and English. It works offline and needs no account. How we handle information is described in our Privacy Policy at app.oodhwe.in/moi/privacy.

3. Licence to Use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

4. Your Data and Responsibilities

  • Your entries are stored on your device and belong to you. We do not receive or hold them.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of what you record, and for checking totals and reports before relying on them.
  • You are responsible for making backups. If you lose your phone, uninstall the app or clear its data without a backup, your entries cannot be recovered by us.
  • Keep your backup password and PIN safe. Encrypted backups cannot be opened without the password, and we cannot reset it.
  • The guest details you record belong to other people. Use them only for the function and in line with applicable law.

5. Voice Entry

Voice entry depends on your phone's speech recognition and may mishear names or amounts. Always check the text and amount shown before saving.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the app for any unlawful purpose or to infringe anyone's rights;
  • copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, except as permitted by law or by an open-source licence; or
  • interfere with or attempt to disrupt the app or its distribution.

7. Google Drive Backup

Drive backup is optional and uses your own Google account and storage. Your use of Google services is governed by Google's terms. We are not responsible for Google's services, quota or availability.

8. Intellectual Property and Open Source

The Moi Gift name, logo, design and software are owned by oodhwe and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The app includes open-source components governed by their own licences.

9. Updates and Availability

We may update, change or discontinue features of the app at any time. Files from very old or other versions may not always import.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. You use the app at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, oodhwe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or entries, arising from your use of or inability to use the app.

12. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your licence if you breach these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in India.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date when changes are made.
