BLDC Remote
an Oodhwe appAn Oodhwe app: your phone as a remote for BLDC ceiling fans
BLDC Remote turns your phone's infrared (IR) blaster into a remote for BLDC ceiling fans. Add a fan, let the app detect its brand, and control speed, timer, light and more, from the app or a home-screen widget. No account, no internet, no ads.
For Android phones with an IR blaster
What it does
Add a fan
- Auto-detect: the app sends each brand's power code in turn; tap "Fan responded" when yours reacts
- Or pick the brand manually
- Give each fan a nickname (Bedroom, Hall, ...) and keep several fans on the home screen
Brand-style remotes
- Each fan opens a remote laid out like its original: Atomberg, Activa, Bajaj, Super, Kuhl and Orient
- Power, speed, timer, light, reverse and other keys for your fan's brand
- Optional vibration and "Sent" confirmation when a key is pressed
Home-screen widgets
- Long-press your home screen, choose Widgets > BLDC Remote, then pick a fan
- Control a fan without opening the app
- Light, dark and system themes inside the app
Why use BLDC Remote
Private by design
The app has no internet permission. Your fans and settings stay on your phone and are never sent to us.
Works offline
Infrared needs no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. If your phone has an IR blaster, the remote works anywhere.
Several brands, one app
Atomberg, Activa, Bajaj, Super, Kuhl and Orient remotes in a single lightweight app.
Free and ad-free
No sign-up, no tracking, no ads.
How it works
- 1
Check your phone
You need a phone with a built-in IR blaster (found on some Xiaomi, Redmi, Poco, Huawei and Samsung models).
- 2
Add your fan
Tap Add fan and point the top of your phone at the fan. The app tries each brand's power code.
- 3
Confirm
When the fan responds, tap "Fan responded". The fan is saved with its own remote.
- 4
Control
Use the remote in the app, or add the home-screen widget for one-tap control.
Common questions
What is BLDC Remote?
BLDC Remote is a free Android app by Oodhwe that uses your phone's infrared (IR) blaster to control BLDC ceiling fans, in place of the fan's physical remote.
Does my phone need special hardware?
Yes. Your phone must have an IR blaster (consumer infrared transmitter). It is common on some Xiaomi, Redmi, Poco, Huawei and Samsung models and absent from most other phones. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi fans are not supported.
Which fan brands are supported?
Atomberg, Activa, Bajaj, Super, Kuhl and Orient. Brand names belong to their respective owners, and the app is not affiliated with or endorsed by any fan manufacturer.
How does automatic detection work?
The app sends each brand's power code one after another while you point the phone at the fan. When the fan reacts, tap "Fan responded" and the app saves that brand. If detection does not work, choose the brand manually.
